Add a custom drug

Who can do this?

  • All users and access levels: Can add custom drugs

  • Practitioners only (eligible professions): Can prescribe custom drugs

If you cannot find the drug you want to prescribe in the database (such as cannabis or nicotine items), you can add it as a custom drug. All custom drugs are saved in your Clinical database, available for prescribing practitioners in your group.

Custom drugs can be uploaded individually or in bulk.

Create a custom drug

  1. Click Settings > Clinical.

  2. At the top of the page, click the Drugs tab.

  3. In the top right, click Create custom drug.

    • The total number of records found on your file

    • The number of records that will be imported

    • The number of records that will not be imported due to errors listed in a table below (you may export these specific records so you can correct them, then re-upload the amended file)

  8. To proceed, click Import.

When the import completes, all records without errors are imported into your Halaxy and are ready to use. The data import is recorded with a full report in your import list.

Depending on the size of your data file, your import may take some time to complete.

Note

Data import accepts the file types .xls and .xlsx.
