Install Google tag

When installed in Halaxy, a Google tag allows you to track patient activity throughout the online booking process, giving you valuable insights into how patients interact with your online booking page.

Tracked events

Tracked data

You can track key actions, such as when patients:

  • Start a booking

  • Select a service or time

  • Open the payment page

  • Complete the booking.

You can track the following information for events:

  • Patient ID

  • Fee or appointment type ID (if available)

  • Practitioner ID

  • Practitioner/Clinic ID

This data helps you better understand your patients' booking behaviour, optimise your website strategy, and measure the performance of your practice. With visibility over which services, practitioners, or times attract the most interest, you can make informed decisions to improve patient engagement and streamline your booking flow.

Before you install

To track data in Halaxy, you must first set up your Google tag. After completing this, all you need to do is copy and paste your tag ID into your Halaxy.

The following Google tag formats can be installed:

  • GTM-XXXXXX
