Assign clinical templates to specific practitioners

Every clinical template you import or create is saved to your group templates. However, you can also create copies of your group templates and assign them to specific practitioners.

This is useful for instances when:

  • Practitioners want to edit or customise a group clinical template to suit their own needs without overwriting the original template.

  • Practitioners want to view or use only the clinical templates relevant to their practice.

  • Your practice requires practitioners to view and use only the clinical templates that are assigned to them.

Note

You can only assign an existing group clinical template. To assign a clinical template, you must first create or import it to your group templates.

Create a clinical template copy for a practitioner

  1. Click Settings > Clinical to open your Templates list.

  2. Under the Group Templates panel, select the clinical template you want to assign.

  3. On the right panel, beside the template name, click the Icon-Copy.svg copy icon.

  4. In the pop-up, select the practitioner to assign this clinical template copy. (You can select multiple practitioners.)

  5. Click Save.

In the left panel, a tab labeled with the practitioner's name now appears, with a copy of the clinical template under it.

Tip

If you want practitioners to use only their own templates, edit their user access settings and tick the checkbox Own clinical templates only. (If this option is greyed out, make sure that Template Settings is also ticked.)
