Practices in some countries must register for an Airwallex account before they can use Halaxy Auto Payments. Once registered, payments can be processed manually or automatically from any invoice, with payments deposited directly into your nominated bank account.
Setting up your Airwallex account involves two steps: verifying your identity, then verifying your business. You complete both in Halaxy through Airwallex's secure verification forms.
Note
Airwallex setup is only available to practices not yet set up with another payment provider. If your practice already processes payments through Stripe or Hyperwallet, you won't see the Airwallex Account section, and your current setup continues as usual.
Important
Before you start, your practice group needs a verified credit or debit card on file. See Add a credit or debit card for your practice.
First, create your Airwallex account by completing Airwallex's identity verification (KYC) form.
-
Click Settings > Payments.
-
Under the Airwallex Account section, click Set up Airwallex Account.
-
Complete Airwallex's identity verification form. You will need to provide personal identification so that Airwallex can verify you.
The fields you see may vary, as the requirements depend on the country where your business is registered. Below is a list of fields to keep in mind if they are applicable to you.
-
Business registration location: The country where your business is registered. Important: The country cannot be changed once it is selected.
-
Business details: This includes your business entity type, whether it is a company, partnership or sole trader. Other details include the official registration number for your business in your country, legal entity name, business address, business contact details, incorporation date and trading name. Note: This determines what other details and documents you are asked for.
-
Industry: The industry in which your business operates.
-
Product or service description: This describes the products and services your business offers to customers.
Example you can use: We are a health care clinic offering psychology, physiotherapy, and general practitioner consultations to patients both in-person and via telehealth. Most patients book their appointments online through our practice management platform, where they pay consultation fees at the time of booking or shortly after their session. Occasional payments are also taken in-person at the clinic for walk-in or follow-up appointments.
-
Websites: This includes your official business website and social media pages. Tip: This helps Airwallex understand your business for a quicker application process.
-
Expected monthly transaction volume: An estimate of the total payments you expect to process each month. This does not need to be exact. It helps Airwallex understand your expected account activity.
-
Business owners: Details of the people who own or control your business.
-
Business activity locations: The countries where you operate your business. This includes any countries where you have other offices, transactions, investments, employees or contractors.
-
Residential address: Your home address, not your practice address. PO boxes are not accepted.
-
Photo identification: A government-issued photo ID. Depending on your country, this can be a passport, driver's licence or national identity card. You will need to upload a clear photo of the document (front and back, where relevant).
-
-
Submit the form. Airwallex will review your details, which may take up to 3 business days.
When your identity is approved by Airwallex, you can complete the second verification step.
Tip
To check whether your identity has been approved, click Settings > Payments. When it is approved, the Airwallex Account section shows Complete Business Verification.
Next, verify your business (KYB) so payments can be deposited to your practice.
-
Click Settings > Payments.
-
Under the Airwallex Account section, click Complete Business Verification.
-
Complete the embedded business verification form with your business details. You will need to provide some business documentation so that Airwallex can verify you.
The fields you see may vary, as the requirements depend on the country where your business is registered and your business structure.
-
Business information: Whether you operate as a company, partnership or sole trader. This determines what other details and documents you are asked for.

Payment methods: The payment methods you can use for your business. This is commonly Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
-
-
Submit the form. Airwallex will verify your business. This is usually instant, but may take 1-2 business days if your application needs further review.
