Guide to Halaxy AI Scribe

Halaxy AI Scribe is your built-in AI assistant that helps you create and manage your clinical documentation with ease. Using AI capabilities, Halaxy AI Scribe listens to your sessions, transcribes your notes, and automatically generates them in your preferred template, whether it's an outline, summary, letter, care plan, action list - anything you need!

Simply launch Halaxy AI Scribe from any clinical note and click Start Session. Halaxy AI Scribe transforms your session into structured documentation, allowing you to focus fully on your patient instead of typing or writing during sessions.

Generate automatic notes for an appointment with Halaxy AI Scribe

  1. Create a new clinical note or open the appointment note.

  2. Below the note editor, click Launch Scribe.

  3. Before the appointment begins:

    • Under the Context tab, enter any information about the patient you want Halaxy AI Scribe to incorporate or take into account in your notes. (e.g. reason why they are seeing you, health or medication history, etc.)

      Note: To add data from your patient's records, click on Insert patient context and select the relevant information you want to include in the session. This allows you to add patient records, such as patient details, allergies, diagnoses, Immunisations, prescriptions, clinical orders, answers from clinical tools and even patient clinical summaries.

    • Check that Halaxy has access to your microphone in your browser settings.

  4. When ready, click Start Session to begin.

  5. If you need to temporarily stop Halaxy AI Scribe, click Pause. If you want to end the session and generate a summary, click End.

  6. By default, a SOAP template is used to generate your transcription summary upon completion. If you have multiple templates, you can select another template in the dropdown and click Regenerate Summary to create a new summary using the selected template. Adding new context also allows you to regenerate a new summary. (Note: You can regenerate summaries as many times as you need. At the bottom, you can also click Previous Summaries to select past summaries that were generated.)

  7. To transfer the summary contents to your clinical note, click Save to Note. (Note: next to Save to Note, you can also click Export summary to new note so that the summary will be created as a new note under the original note.)

Allowing your browser to use your camera and/or microphone

To use Halaxy Telehealth or Halaxy AI Scribe, your browser must have access to your camera and/or microphone. Your browser will usually ask you whether you want to allow access when you start a session. However, if you or your patients are having trouble, please see the following articles on how to allow a camera and microphone in various browsers:
